Current Project: Mali Community College system

The goal is to create a Community College system to provide Malian people viable tools and skills to successfully negotiate this ever evolving world.  The initial plan envisions establishing a community presence based on community needs and supported by the community association.  This would occur by working closely with the Malian Ministry of Education and established links to the University of Bamako.  Partnerships would include 3D Squared and George Mason University with connections in the community to the non-government agencies and local businesses and high schools.  These would help with getting trained instructors and administration as well as providing for the initial hardware and facilities.

The community college program would be started by running a few programs through the University to test the curriculum, then establishing in the Mopti region and Sikasso region.  Additional curriculum would be added as funds allow after the initial five year span of the project.  Part of the program would be online distance learning.  The driving vision is “past traditions, present technologies, future vision.”
